no fixed time was given mr grant was told a lunchtime but we would call 30min before attending he call me i couldn’t answer as i was on an emergency in and was running late no reply please note no time was given

Not true. I asked him what time was suitable for him and he said 12 noon. I texted him at 1.15 and called him at 2.30. He texted me to say he was on a difficult job. No further communication was had from him.
